Chapter 1: ROSA WU DEKOPUL

Story

The Moment Before Knowing

It started with the wind.

Not loud, not demanding—just a quiet shift in the air, like the world gently rearranging itself for something I didn’t yet understand. And in that passing moment, she appeared… not as someone entering my life, but as something my life had been waiting for.

I didn’t notice the crowd. I didn’t hear the noise.
All I remember… is her.

There was something in her eyes—not just beauty, but a kind of silence that spoke louder than anything I had ever known. And without warning, without reason, I found myself standing still inside that gaze… like I had arrived somewhere I’d never been, yet somehow recognized.

It didn’t feel like the beginning of love.
It felt like remembering something I had forgotten.

Her presence moved like a soft season change—the kind you don’t see happening, but suddenly feel everywhere. The faint warmth in her cheeks, the rhythm in her steps, the way the world seemed to bend gently around her… it all felt unreal, yet more real than anything else I had known.

And in that moment, my heart—once a quiet, empty landscape—began to bloom.

But nothing was spoken.

No names. No stories. No promises.

She passed like the very breeze that carried her in… leaving behind nothing but a feeling that refused to leave me.

And that’s when the question began.

Was it really her I fell for?
Or was it the version of myself I became when I saw her?

Because sometimes, love doesn’t begin with knowing someone.
Sometimes, it begins with a moment—
a single glance—
that awakens something inside you…
something that had been waiting long before they arrived.

Maybe she was real.
Maybe she was just a dream I happened to see with open eyes.

But ever since that day, one thing has remained certain—

Somewhere between her gaze and my silence…
I became someone who could feel again.

And that is where this story begins.
